It is easier to say it in an article that will help them ,so I wrote one.

First I want to let you know that I am just an average person,
(not with special weird or magical powers).

I just have a love for animals and have spent a lot of time with them.

I also believe that God made people and all creatures and gave us dominion over all creatures, so what we do with that information
is truly up to us.

It is also true that if you treat others as you want to be treated ,
they will respond far easier than if you bully them.

Animals already know that we are in charge. If you were in their
mind how would you respond to the way you treat them?

Lets take a look.

Lets start with dogs. ...Nature has given them some things
that they were born with. For example ,the ability to communicate with dog language.(Barking , whining, biting, growling.) Just to name a few
that we are all familiar with.

So why is it that we think they will understand English right off the bat?
Animals learn the same as we do. They all have their own personality,
and likes ,dislikes ,frustrations, and fears. They also become attached,
(to other animals and to humans even to toys and their home.)

Puppies are babies that have another language, and need to learn your language.

If you take the time when they are still a pup, you will get along with them much better later on.

Like taking the time to take them outside every half hour or so to get fresh air and potty train them.

They will respond a lot better to praise when they do their thing out side,
than they will to correcting them when they do it inside.

If you spank a child every time they do something wrong but never show them the correct way of doing things, they will not learn what it is you want them to know.

The same with animals.

When ever they do something right, give praise.
This is how you gain trust from them.

Take some time to see what things they like to do, just like when you make a new friend.

What kind of dog is it ?

Small dogs most of the time don't want to play fetch at the local river.
While a Lab normally lives for that kind of fun.

Some people think you should have a pet that suites your likes and dislikes, and sometimes that is true.

But maybe you are frozen in a world of your own making,
and doing what your pet likes might open you up a little.

For instance ,do you stay inside a lot?
Try taking your dog out for a walk.

Or take your Bird (if its wings are clipped I wouldn't want it to fly away.) outside on the patio and let it play in the fresh air for a while.

Or if you have a bird and its wings are not clipped , let it fly around inside of the house for a while.

Talk to your pet alot, they might not understand you, but they will know that you are trying to include them.

They will in return respond the same way. They will start wanting to include you.

The whole thing is that if you have a pet , it is a living creature with feelings just like you.

They learn just like you. They respond to you even better than some humans . And can be great friends.

Hearing your pet is simply getting to know them, and letting them get to know you.

If you simply pay attention , they will tell you every thing they know and then some.

And Yes I practice what I preach.
